We work together
The way we prefer to start the process is by meeting in person and talking about exactly what you’re looking for. Here we will develop several rough sketches from different angles to get a good understanding of the piece. This process may take up to an hour as we would like to be sure you like the piece before moving forward.
Detailed Image and 3D Modeling
After our meeting we will create a better-quality image based off of our first meeting and develop an estimated price for the total. If you would like to continue the process of deposit of 50% of the total estimated cost will be necessary.
Next, we will start developing a 3D figure of the product. The 3D figure is made by hand carving a wax cube into the proper shape. This process generally takes 7-10 days
Viewing and Casting
You will have a chance to view the 3D model in wax however minimal changes are available at this stage. After you see the wax figure you will be given 2 options.
Option 1
Cast the product in silver, then make a rubber mold copy and recast in the desired metal.
Option 2
Cast directly in the metal desired
Final Touches
By this stage the product has been cast and now requires grinding, shaping, setting, polishing and plating to have a completed product. This process normally takes 2-3 days and results in the final product.
